Job responsibilities
In this key role, the Production Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day activities and short-term objectives for the Assembly, Test and Paint Departments. This hands-on position will oversee all shift activities and hold employees accountable for safety, quality, and productivity.

Job requirements:
The qualified candidate will possess a HS diploma (technical certification preferred) with at least 10 years of manufacturing experience. Must have at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. The selectee will possess good verbal and interpersonal communication skills, the ability to work well within group situations and the ability to deal effectively with conflict in a mature and consistent manner.

Key performance areas include but are not limited to: Monitors the production processes and product quality. Directs efforts to make adjustments to the process or equipment to maintain quality and production. Reports shift performance results in accordance with prescribed standards, using assigned tools. Trains, schedules and assigns production personnel to work activities. Leads and supports World Class Manufacturing activities as directed. Effectively communicates with maintenance, other production shifts, quality control/assurance personnel, warehouse personnel and plant management. Addresses established scheduling priorities, product changes, product quality, and the resolution of personnel problems. Accountable for maintaining a safe work environment and the safety management of assigned employees. Must recognize unsafe conditions and practices and make corrections to prevent injuries and property loss. Required to complete safety audits/inspections; thorough investigations of incidents and accidents, job safety analysis and have periodic safety meetings. Responsible for implementation of 5S standards, specifically within the Department Openly and honestly communicates with all Sandvik employees to build trust and effective teamwork. Encourages employee involvement in achieving a shared objective towards Sandvik goals and values. Develops pride in the Sandvik organization and products among all employees.
