Position Description:

General Maintenance or Carpentry Certificate, preferredPossess mechanical sense and aptitude.Ability to inspect, analyze, install, secure, maintain and repair theHospitals properties and equipment.Must present a professional and demure attitude.Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.Must have the ability to climb or work in close quarters or atheights.Must be able to lift heavy objects.Ability to rig and move heavy equipment.Ability to work with hand and power tools.Ability to read and interpret simple mechanical drawings, sketches,prints, etc.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to work different hours to insure hospital safety.Ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions.Ability to meet Hospital standards for quality and productivity.High school graduate or vocational school graduateMinimum of 5 years continuous painting/maintenance experience in anindustrial or institutional setting. Internal Job Description : The Painter prepares and paints various interior and exterior surfaces ofthe Hospital. Additionally, is responsible for repair and maintenance ofHospital equipment, property and buildings. Possesses a working knowledgeand uses a variety of hand power tools, hardware, diagrams, sketches,prints, manuals, and technical data. Completes assigned work orders in atimely manner. Satisfy customer needs while being professional, courteousand helpful. Works as a team member within the Paint Shop and assistsother Facilities Management trades as required.
