Due to growth and expansion, American Infrastructure - Virginia is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their winning team.
This position plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Conducts all work in accordance with American Infrastructure policies, procedures, and programs. - Demonstrates multi-disciplinary experience in at least two trade disciplines. - Implements and monitors the AI Corporate Safety Program including the overall safety plan throughout the project; thorough preplanning to successfully identify conditions and exposures; and use of Best Practices. - Interprets and monitors crew cost reports and crew cost factors. - Encourages and promotes teaming, motivation, people development and retention with direct reports and crews. - Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project. - Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. - Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. - Travels extensively to and from field sites, monitoring status of project. - Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget. Monitors profit and loss statements and maintains them throughout the project. - Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required. - Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems. - Manages suppliers and subcontractors to ensure safety, profit, and scheduling and customer satisfaction. - Employs Best Practices to plan and organize work to maximize potential crew productivity, and to maximize equipment utilization. - Ensures customer satisfaction in all Customer and Inspector relations and interactions.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience. - Minimum of 8+ years of construction and or engineering experience is required - Site development and or heavy highway project experience - EIT/FE and PE certification are encouraged and recognized - Knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel) Trueline, Lotus Notes, HCSS, and Primavera Products (P3e/c, Expedition, Lynx) preferred. - Strong fundamental math skills - Excellent communication, both verbal and written, and organizational abilities - Basic proficiency in business processes, including contractual and legal procedures - Basic proficiency in reading and interpreting contracts and specifications - Strong analytical and communication skills - Willingness to learn and adapt to change
