PROJECT ENGINEER - Newburgh, NY

AMERESCO, Inc. has a new opportunity for a Project Engineer in the greater Newburgh, NY area. Will participate in all phases and types of energy efficiency, conservation, and renewable technology projects that provide cost savings for commercial, government, industrial, and institutional customers.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Determine customers’ technical requirements, identify and evaluate opportunities for energy efficiency measures.

· Gather key project details such as utility data, facility profiles, site drawings, system operating characteristics.

· Visit project sites throughout New England, southeastern New York and Long Island to assess and document building mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing systems.

· Investigate, analyze, and document energy conservation and water cost reduction measures.

· Conduct thorough engineering analysis including baseline profiles, end-use analysis, and retro-fit analysis.

· Assist in the preparation of technical content, proposals, analysis, and feasibility reports.

· Assist Construction Team with daily project oversight, including vendor, manufacturer and sub-contractor relationship management.

· Perform other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

 

· BSME, BSEE, BSMET, or energy-related engineering degree required.

· Exposure or experience associated with technical engineering, mechanical design, energy services, or consulting experience, including facility operations and mechanical installation projects involving chiller and boiler plants, motors, VSDs, HVAC retrofit, building automation, energy conservation, or distributed generation projects would be a plus.

· Proven ability to complete projects in timely and cost effective manner.

· Strong verbal, written, computer communication and technical presentation skills.

· Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and business relationships.

· U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.

· May be required to pass security clearance investigation.

· Valid Drivers’ License issued by state of residence and in good standing required.

· Ability to travel throughout the northeast US, periodic over night stays.
