Operations Manager

We currently have an opening for an Operations Manager in our Anahuac, Texas  (20 minutes west of Beaumont, Texas)Medical Waste Incineration Plant.  Summary: Manage all activities related to operations and development of the facility. Responsible for the safe, proper, and efficient operation and maintenance of the facility in accordance with company policies and standards, under the direction of the Plant Manager. Essential Functions: -Plans, assigns and supervises the work of the operations, maintenance (where applicable) and labor departments during daily operations and plant outages. -Responsible for developing, maintaining and instituting operating and emergency procedures. -Makes daily inspections of plant machinery and equipment; inspects ongoing activities for safety and environmental compliance, and for adherence to standard operating procedures -Develops operational performance and productivity goals in conjunction with the Plant Manager via the annual business plan and continuously strives to meet or beat those goals. -With management team, prepares budget and is accountable for meeting operational goals. -Ensures that the facility and all personnel operate safely at all times and promotes an environment whereby safety is a priority. Follows standard safety procedures, corrects safety and environmental hazards. Reads, understands, and implements lockout/tagout, safety rules, job hazard analyses, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Education/Experience:-High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent. -Bachelor's or Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent desirable -Six years experience in a power plant or incineration environment, with five years in a supervisory role. -Strong maintenance experience required.-Word processing and Spreadsheet programs. -Experience using CMMS such as Tabware required.-Previous experience supervising staff of 20 plus employees.
