Multifamily Outreach Specialist

Conservation Services Group, Inc. (CSG) is a growing, dynamic, national non-profit company providing energy efficiency, renewable energy, and environmental services and products to private market customers, utility companies, government, and public benefit entities. CSG is dedicated to helping reduce the environmental impact of energy usage for both residential and commercial customers.


CSG holds a contract with Energy Trust of Oregon to deliver energy efficiency services for existing homes and multifamily properties in Oregon. Energy Trust's programs include providing financial incentives for energy efficiency work on homes, maintaining a network of participating contractors, working with property owner and real estate professional trade allies, and providing consumer education and program marketing.


Current Job Opportunity Summary:
CSG's Portland Office holds a contract with the Energy Trust of Oregon to delivery energy efficiency services for existing homes in Oregon. The program includes providing financial incentives for energy efficiency work on homes, maintaining a network of contractor allies, training contractors, consumer education, and marketing.


A key component of the existing homes program is the multifamily program, which delivers energy efficiency services for apartment buildings or condominiums with five or more units. The Outreach Specialist reaches out to multifamily owners, managers, contractors and key multifamily sectors to bring new efficiency projects into the program. The Specialist will represent the program in the market. A successful Specialist will work comfortably in diverse environments, speaking to building efficiency, business interests, and program rules. • Develop relationships with key sectors in the multifamily community, including chambers of commerce, economic development corporations, and other business, commercial and economic forums.
• Represent the program in associations, at events, and in related financial sectors such as lending.
• Build new program touch points with the high-end sector, including analyzing the state and locations of the largest properties and developing an outreach strategy to bring those properties into the program.
• Have or quickly develop a working knowledge of land use, urban economic zones, or urban renewal areas in metropolitan areas in Energy Trust territory.
• Have or quickly develop a working knowledge of financial criteria for decision-making in the multifamily sector.

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in a related field
• Must be capable of executing the above responsibilities professionally, with business acumen.
• Must be an experienced communicator. Excellent listening, telephone, verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Experience in the Portland metro business community strongly desired.
• Experience with a sales approach strongly desired.
• Positive, professional attitude and adaptation to change required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.
• A passion for energy efficiency.


Position requires occasional vehicle travel within the state of Oregon. CSG will run a driving record report for all candidates and a good driving record is required in order for any candidate to operate a vehicle for work purposes.


This is a full time position.


 

Salary: commensurate with experience
