Modernization Project Manager

The Hayward, CA branch, located in the San Francisco Bay area, has an immediate need for a Modernization Project Manager.  Responsible for successfully coordinating all the details involved with purchasing, scheduling and delivery of materials required for elevator modernization projects so that the jobs are completed in a timely, productive and cost efficient manner.

 

Some job duties include: Preparing submittal packages for approval (layouts, fixture drawings, etc.); compiling project schedules and revising as necessary; obtaining vendor quotations and tracking actual expenditures to estimate amounts; organizing and maintaining project binders for all mod projects; preparing responses to customer RFI’s, change order requests and schedule changes; and performing other job duties as required.



A high school diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.  Two to three years of elevator modernization project management experience is preferred. Requires thorough knowledge of elevator equipment, the construction industry, and project accounting. Strong computer, organization and time management skills are necessary. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to read blue prints and understand mechanical and electrical applications.
