Mechanical Engineer

Henkels & McCoy, Inc., one of the largest privately held international utility contracting firms, with offices in 80 cities and celebrating 85 years of operating with a reputation as one of the most reliable and innovative firms in engineering and construction, is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our corporate office.  This position will be responsible for mechanical and multidisciplined design projects. • Perform field surveys and collect basic background data;
• Design calculations and equipment layout;
• Responsible for projects which involve HVAC, utilities, and process design;
• Perform project level Profit/loss responsibilities; estimate engineering fees;
• Responsible for the mechanical design; may serve as Project Manager on multidisciplined projects;
• Interface with various vendors and suppliers;
• Ability to keep a project on course throughout the entire design/ production phase; effectively communicate with all disciplines involved;

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering with 10 years experience.
• Current PE (P.E.) registration.
• Knowledge of utility and process piping.
• Knowledge of HVCA systems.
• Significant experience working with project managers to determine the project size, scope, and budget; ability to keep a project on course throughout the entire design/ production phase.
• Experience in an Architectural/ Engineering firm.
• Prior experience working with clients from pharmaceutical and manufacturing is a plus.
• Knowledge of MS Office.
• Ability to use AutoCAD for purpose of design.
