Current Job Opportunity Summary:
Working as part of a marketing team, under the direction of the New Jersey Marketing Manager and Marketing Director, the Marketing Assistant is responsible for assisting in the implementation of an integrated marketing communications, advertising and public relations program to promote consumer and contractor awareness and participation in the New Jersey Clean Energy program's residential energy efficiency and renewable energy programs.
The sponsor of New Jersey's Clean Energy ProgramTM is the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities. The position will be based in the Iselin, New Jersey office of Conservation Services Group, an energy efficiency services company working as a sub-contractor to Market Manager (Honeywell). The Market Manager was selected in a competitive bid process to administer the residential energy efficiency and renewable energy programs in the State of New Jersey.
The New Jersey-based Marketing Assistant for CSG will be a part of a team, responsible for working with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities' client staff and consultants, Market Manager staff, CSG staff and sub-contractors, participating contractors, trade allies, utilities and with representatives of the national ENERGY STAR® program in the successful promotion of New Jersey's Clean Energy Program's residential energy efficiency and renewable energy programs.
• Administering a co-operative advertising program for contractors, retailers and developers to increase awareness and participation in New Jersey's Clean Energy Program. This includes assisting contractors and trade allies with co-op guidelines, sales support, advertising, design, and media placement to meet the program guidelines
• Reviewing, approving and tracking co-op advertising requests
• Helping to maintain excellent communications and being responsive to Office of Clean Energy, internal staff, participating contractors and builders, trade allies, regional and national ENERGY STAR partners, and local community groups
• Coordinating and staffing of home show/trade shows
• Supporting advertising and public relations efforts as needed
• Assisting with development of program marketing materials, reports, sales presentations and other program collateral materials
• Helping to develop external communications to program stakeholders, including client, utilities, ENERGY STAR partners, contractors, vendors, media, and governmental groups. This may include direct mail, newsletters, monthly and annual progress reports, email communications, web postings
• Maintaining program information and contact files, both hard copy and electronic
• Assisting in financial/business management responsibilities: estimating, reporting and invoicing for marketing fees and expenses, co-op advertising requests and documentation
• Maintaining CSG customer service standards for internal and external customers
• Other duties as required
Responsibilities may expand to other ENERGY STAR initiatives and client services throughout the region, as well as nationally. Position requires staffing of some events on weekends.

The successful candidate must have a BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field; excellent written and verbal skills; excellent interpersonal skills; positive, can-do attitude; high energy; ability to effectively influence and communicate ideas, resolve issues and offer solutions within a team environment; highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve in a deadline-driven environment; Must have a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook.
Salary Range: $30-40K, commensurate with experience.
