Job Summary
AFG Group, Inc. (AFG): has been in business since 1990. We specialize in Program/Project/Construction Management, and Facilities Management. AFG is seeking highly motivated and experienced Facilities Manager to lead a major projects in the Middle East for a Mixed Development, Educational, Hospitality and Justice projects. This position requires the person to lead and develop discipline managers, designers, maintenance personnel and engineers within a multidisciplinary practice whilst utilizing and developing one'; own leadership and management skills. Responsible for the overall financial performance, quality standard and project delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Managing, leading and inspiring the multidisciplinary teams; will be responsible for leading a team of managers, engineers and technicians working on multi-disciplinary projects.
· Manage a preventive maintenance program
· Planning and resource allocation of the Buildings (Facilities) Department including architecture, MEP and structure disciplines (both for design & construction stages).
· Planning and monitoring budgets, schedules and resources to ensure projects goals and dead lines and targets are met.
· Manages preparation of complete documentation system
· Preparation of technical and financial proposals;
· Developing budgets for new projects.
· Client liaison & coordination between all disciplines including external parties and authorities.
· Assist with the Business Development of the Branch.
· Make a significant contribution to the sales, profitability and management of work and people in the Buildings Department.
· Maintain the highest level of technical skills and quality standard on all projects undertaken across the Building Department.
· To lead the development and training of leading edge technical skills and understand how to practically apply them in ways that adds value to the company's services.
Qualification
· Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or other Engineering. Master's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or PM / MBA qualification is an added advantage.
· BIM integration is a plus
· Licensed or Registered Engineer or Architect with a recognized authority.
· Computer literate.
· Ability to represent the Company.
· Experience and proven ability to lead, motivate and manage multi disciplinary teams.
· Ability to manage people to meet deadlines and milestones.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to run the department as successful profit centre, establish and monitor budget.
· Minimum 20 years of relevant experience.
· Experience in large scale projects/high rise structures within the Middle East preferred.
