Maintenance Facility and Construction Manager

Responsible for the care and maintenance of company buildings, systems and equipment as designated by the company Senior management. In addition to hands on construction of new tenant buildout.

Under the general direction of senior management, coordinates and directs vendors, subcontractors and employees on projects and jobs.

Monitors all facility systems including, electrical, plumbing, structural, heating and air conditioning to ensure efficient maintenance and operation.

Maintaince and repair of  electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems such as but not limited to assessing and repairing roofs, gutters, locks, window and door hardware and ceiling tiles.

Performs preventive maintenance on all tools and equipment.

Performs other similar  duties as required, or as  the situation dictates.

Work is conducted both indoors and outdoors, and at times varying heights or in confined spaces; outdoor work  entails exposure to rain, snow,  and other weather conditions when maintaining exterior of building,exposure to fumes and noise.  Employee must be available to be on call as requested to provide round the clock coverage and is responsible for responding to all emergency situations pertaining to the properties  when on call.

Errors in performing work or following safety precautions could result in personal injury.

Must have a valid Massachusetts drivers license and use of both company and personal vehicle and be able to use personal hand tools. 

Strong knowledge of building infrastructure maintenance and repair. Knowledge of facility systems including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.

Moderate physical strength is required to perform most duties, most work requires standing, walking and using hands to operate equipment, requires the ability to climb and use a ladder, stoop, bend, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to lift items weighing up to100 pounds.
