Maintenance & Facilities Manager: Mansfield, TX.

Sandvik Mining and Construction, the world’s leading supplier of drilling and excavation machinery, equipment and tools for mining and construction industries, is currently looking for a Maintenance & Facilities Manager in Mansfield, TX.

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

In this fast paced environment, the Maintenance & Facilities Manager will work to maintain uptime and reliability of production equipment and the condition/function of the physical plant. This will be carried out through the responsibility for daily operations of the maintenance department and scheduling of maintenance personnel.  In addition, this position will be responsible for planning and working on capitol expenditures; developing and working to stay in line with the budget; performing maintenance personnel performance evaluations; and assisting with personnel development and completing administrative duties as required.

 

Additional Responsibilities Include:

§ Responsible for daily operations of maintenance department and scheduling of maintenance personnel.

§ Provide maintenance support for all production shifts and when necessary adjust shift schedules to support production shifts.

§ Ensure order and discipline within the maintenance department.

§ Plan and schedule the maintenance work by use of Sandvik’s work order system (CMMS).

§ Coordinate work requests between production and maintenance.

§ Provide technical support and hands on assistance to maintenance as required to maintain equipment and facilities.

§ Determine skill requirements and resource levels required to maintain equipment and physical plant.

 

The Maintenance & Facilities Manager is to achieve high PU performance as well as a decrease in excess downtime, which leads to increased costs.  This position will interact with and support the PU Management Staff in achieving improved PU performance.

 

YOUR PROFILE

The qualified candidate will possess an Associates degree at minimum within a technical or engineering discipline along with 10yrs experience in a related field.  Minimum 5yrs prior experience/background in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic trades and/or PLC’s are necessary. Working knowledge of Microsoft OFFICE, personal computers and operating systems is also required.  The incumbent will possess good verbal & interpersonal communication skills, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work well in group situations.
