Senior Mechanical HVAC EngineerDMJM Harris is seeking a Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer with overall project execution experience.  A minimum 10+ years of related project experience with specific lead discipline experience is required.  Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. PE preferredSpecific Duties and Responsibilities: Overall project supervision of mechanical HVAC staff. Familiarity with both air-side as well as water-side HVAC systems. Strong emphasis on central plant systems and equipment specifically with boiler and chiller plant applications for both commercial and industrial applications Responsible to the Mechanical Department Manager for the project technical deliverables, including design drawings, specifications,engineering calculations and engineering construction support Overall responsibility for project budget and schedule performance for the Mechanical Department on specific project assignments Review and/or prepare Mechanical Department budget man-hour estimates Interface with Project Management / Project Engineering for the overall project execution.  Performs assignments designed to develop professional working knowledge and abilities, requiring application of advanced new technologies.  Is technically competent in all engineering aspects.  Develops probable construction cost estimates for projects within the department. Prepares complex design computations in quantity estimates.  May serve as an on-sight project representative.  Performs complex technical work in support of project work.  Recommends appropriate actions to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.  Significant-level exercise of judgment is required on details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.  Possesses extensive, progressive technical experience in engineering and requisite skills in multiple areas.  Independently applies advanced engineering and analyses for problems and methods.
