We are currently seeking a Project Engineer for a project located in the Los Angeles area. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:  

·         Provide technical evaluations of ongoing and completed contracts in support of contract audits by the Office of the Inspector General.

·         Write clear, concise, technical reports in support of contract audits by the Office of the Inspector General with the focus on the plumbing, fire protection and fire management systems engineering design and construction.Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have;

 

·Minimum ten (10) years experience in commercial, industrial, educational and/or public facilities engineering design and construction is required. Five (5) years experience in school building design projects is preferred.

·BS in Mechanical, plumbing or fire protection engineering or equivalent is required.

·Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Plumbing Engineering or equivalent in the State of California is required.

·Must be able to review plumbing, fire protection, fire sprinkler, HVAC, engineering design documents (drawings & specifications), utilities plans, change orders, estimates etc and evaluate against the work performed at the construction site.

·Must have good understanding and knowledge of building codes and standards.

·The OSHA Occupational Safety and Health Training Course in Construction Safety & Health must be completed by all employees working and/or visiting any project site within 30 days of their start date.
