Job Description
Job Title: Insulation and Related Products Sales Representative
Reports To: Branch Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
SUMMARY
Sells products to general residential and commercial building contractors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from the Branch, newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders. Takes measurements from blueprints or at the construction site and sends a quote to the builder.Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares purchase orders for orders obtained.Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of the Branch’s delivery schedules.Keeps expense accountsCoordinates and educates customer on services and products Tracks sales data for current customers into computer databaseDevelops and maintains relationships with customers.Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.Attends trade shows.Other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma
· Valid driver’s license
· 3 to 5 years experience in construction business
· Able to work in a team environment
· Good interpersonal skills
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Works in the office and out in the field. Able to walk through construction sites, up and down ladders or scaffolds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works both inside and outside.
