Job Opening: CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
Reports to: DIRECTOR OF PROCUREMENT AND LOGISTICS
Location: CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA
OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for all related activities required for the construction of large industrial plants in both foreign and domestic locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· The planning and scheduling of construction activities.
· The preparation of construction procedures and sequencing.
· The on-site construction management for selected projects.
· The contracting and supervision of erection advisors for various international and domestic assignments.
· The monitoring of construction activities and progress for all projects.
· The reporting of basic construction data for use by estimating and for planning of future projects.
· The support to construction partners and/or the Client’s contractor(s) for the planning and construction of the plant.
EDUCATION
· Four year engineering or construction degree
QUALIFICATIONS
· Ten years related experience
· Ability to travel and/or reside at site for both short term (3-6 months) and long term (6+ months) on international and domestic assignments
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
· Previous international experience preferred
· Foreign language capabilities a plus
