We are currently showing a record work backlog, with several major projects on the horizon. Summary:  Prepare portions of contract proposal estimates for one or more disciplines, including the determination of the applicable project plans and specifications.  Work closely with Engineering reviewing design options and recommended best solutions based on costs, engineering quality, or availability of materials.  Fundamental Accountabilities and/or Deliverables: 1. Review electrical proposal specification and drawings to determine scope of work and required content of estimates. 2. Prepare electrical estimates by calculating complete take-off of scope of work. 3. Communicate all correspondence for the estimates to Sales and Marketing. 4. Create preliminary design for heat tracing and control using estimating design software.  Essential Experience, Knowledge, Certification and Education: -  5 years plus industrial electrical estimating-  5 years construction experience with focus on disciplines such as electrical and mechanical or insulation-  Excellent computer skill required-  Experience in various computer estimating programming with Microsoft Excel and Word-  BS in Engineering, construction science or other technical curriculum  Send this Job to a Friend View all "Tyco" jobs Learn more about Tyco
