DescriptionThe Lane Construction Corporation, a billion dollar privately held construction company is seeking an individual with 5+ years experience in related fields to work in their Special Projects Department preparing technical proposals for submission on targeted projects. Proposals may be valued up to a billion dollars each. The successful candidate will work developing and bidding Design/Build and Joint Venture opportunities throughout the United States. The scope of work will include a multitude of skills such as:• Minimum 3-5 years experience in Heavy/Highway Civil Construction• Ability to describe and explain construction procedures clearly and concisely required.• Able to accommodate moderate traveling as may be required (10-15%)• Able to work on multiple projects at one time and meet publishing deadlines.• Candidates must be able to demonstrate good communications skills while dealing effectively with internal customers and external partners.• Successful candidate must have a proven track record of proposal writing in a heavy highway or design firm environment. • Must have a high level of skill in Microsoft WordThe company offers excellent benefits. Since this is a new position, compensation will be determined based upon experience and individual capabilities. The position will be based in Cheshire, Connecticut, but other locations would be considered for the ideal candidate.
