Health & Safety Coordinator

Health & Safety Coordinator – Full Time

 

We are currently looking for an individual to work as the Health & Safety Coordinator for our Contract Operations and Construction, Maintenance & Repair Groups.  This individual will provide support in maintaining and recommending safety policies and training.

 

Specifically this individual will be responsible for preparing and reviewing Health & Safety plans and manuals for ongoing operations at various work sites, complete on-site safety audits and reports to upper management and safety committee for review, track all personal injury and accident reports including workers compensation and auto accidents.  This individual will also be the on-site trainer for OSHA required training and other safety training to staff as required. 

 

Qualified candidates will have a BS/BA in a related field and have some experience working in the water and wastewater field.  The candidate must be comfortable interacting with people on all levels and be reliable, flexible, and proactive.  Outstanding organization skills and someone who is comfortable working with minimal supervision and able to meet deadlines is needed. 

 

Additional job requirements include:

 

·            Knowledge of MS Office software

·           3-5 years experience in Health & Safety role

·          Ability to work flexible hours - some early morning and late training, travel is requried as is a valid         drivers license.

·        Must have successfully completed the OSHA 500 and 501 training course
