Prepares bills-of-material and specifications for others to procure needed materials for a substation project. Provides engineering support to employees to assist in their learning of substation procedures, designs, and associated issues. Analyzes substation problems and other substation issues and recommends appropriate solutions and alternate design options. Prepares estimates for substation projects. Reviews manufacturer drawings for compliance with specifications Skills and Abilities Requirements· Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. · Registered PE in Ohio for Advanced Engineer· FE certificate for Engineer. · Must be able to work in a substation environment with absolute safety awareness. · Must be able to work extended hours unsupervised and be willing to travel. · Must be able to apply technical skills to solve technical engineering problems. · Must be able to analyze data, write technical reports, and develop recommendations. · Must be able to handle multiple assignments.· Strong communication, interpersonal and project management skills. · PC skills that include Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Lotus Notes).
