Electrical Field Superintendant

Amalgamated Construction & Communication, a growing and dynamic firm is seeking an Electrician/ Field Superintendant for our Las Vegas area jobs.

Job Description:

 

A: Purpose and Scope

 

The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for the electrical activities and the direction of field personnel. He/She is also responsible to administer company policies and procedures and to insure that all electrical activities and installations are in compliance with all applicable codes, regulations and customer specifications and guidelines.

 

B: Responsibilities

* General Office/Administrative

o Distribution of information and documentation to field personnel.

o Insure that all required company documentation for field personnel is filled out correctly.

o Insure all field daily reports are completed and turned in daily.

o Collect all field documentation and receipts and insure that they are turned in weekly or as necessary.

o Take daily digital pictures of each job site and send them electronically to the Electrical Manager.

o Insure all safety related documentation is filled out as required.

o Assist in documenting field personnel disciplines and commendations.

o Assist the Electrical Manager as required.

 

* Field Responsibilities

o Schedule all field tasks to Electricians.

o Ensure all electrical activities are being done in accordance with ACC safety guidelines.

o Track and monitor project status to insure that all field projects are on schedule.

o Provide education and assistance to field personnel on electrical related activities.

o Visit all projects daily.

o Assist Electrical Foremen in materials ordering and staging.

o Coordinate with Electrical Foremen to schedule employee training and time off.

o Insure the quality of product that is being installed is acceptable.

o Insure all company field assets are being maintained and accounted for.

o Assist Electrical Foremen in the management of Sub-Contractors.

o Assist the Electrical Manager in setting electrical practices and standards.

 

 

 

* Accounting responsibilities

o Review project cost, labor and budget reports.

o Monitor Rental equipment usage and costs.

o Assist the Director of Construction in processing and reconciling monthly product and sub-Contractor invoices.

 

* Human Resources responsibilities

o Assist in hiring and firing process of all ACC employees (supervised task)

o Safety Coordination for ACC (supervised task)

o Document performance and attendance issues.

 

* Contracts Administration responsibilities

o Assist electrical Foremen in determining and processing change orders. (Supervised task)

o Internal coordination between field personnel and office staff.

 

C. Organization Relationships:

 

The Electrical Superintendent reports directly to the Electrical Manager. All Field personnel report directly to the Electrical Superintendent.

 

Job Requirements:

 Education and Training

Electrical Superintendent should have at least 5 years experience working in the field of and managing electrical activities with clear written and verbal communication skills. Hold a current electrical Journeyman’s card. Additional skills are to include an extensive knowledge of commercial electrical construction methods and techniques, electrical codes, building codes, local jurisdiction requirements and guidelines, OSHA standards and 2 years project estimating and job costing.

 Technical requirements

Two to four years of documentation, office or project management experience, Proficient in Microsoft word and excel.

 Managerial Experience

Four years project management experience.
