We are currently seeking a Director to join our Forensic Real Estate and Construction (RECA) practice in our Washington, D.C. office. KPMG ForensicSM professionals assist organizations in their efforts to achieve the highest level of business integrity through the detection, prevention and investigation of fraud and misconduct. Our Forensic professionals strive to not only help our clients discover the facts underlying concerns about fraud and misconduct, but also assist clients in assessing their vulnerabilities to such activities, and in developing controls and programs to address these risks. Responsibilities: * Lead business development activities including targeting key clients, pitching our services and closing opportunities * Manage construction contract audits and compliance reviews * Evaluate and develop internal controls associated with the financial accounting, management and reporting of capital projects * Manage and lead assessments and evaluations of large-scale capital projects * Assist in the review, analysis, and summary of construction claims and audits * Manage the oversight and implementation of project corrective action plans * Manage the review, analysis, and re-engineering of project procedures * Conduct business process assessments and develop business processes for the successful execution and management of large projects * Work closely, but independently, with other Managers and Directors * Manage engagement field work, including interviews, data collection, analysis and work paper documentation * Lead and assist with business development activities Qualifications: * Experience with large construction and infrastructure projects * Experience managing multiple client engagements * Demonstrated ability for developing relationships with senior clients * Eight years of experience in either, Architecture, Engineering, Construction or Project Management * Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management from an accredited college/university * Experience effectively managing staff and delegating work * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access * Strong documentation, records retention, and work paper organizational skills * Ability to produce solid, professional work with good attention to detail, accuracy, and presentation * Willingness and ability to travel extensively * Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
