Advanced Signing www.advancedsigning.com located in Medway, Massachusetts; a leader in the consulting, design, fabrication, and installation of a wide variety of signing systems for many customers in education, finance, healthcare, and the corporate world, is seeking a qualified Director, Field Operations. Products produced and installed for our customers interior and exterior signing needs range from building directories to room identification signs. Our ability to meet the needs of our customers in a cost efficient manner emanates from the experience of our professional staff.
Opportunity:
The successful candidate must be willing to take ownership of this growing department; to lead and direct our installation workforce, interact with our customers, and have complete accountability for the departmental P & L. The position is responsible for directing the field installers to ensure that our projects are timely and within budget. The position is accountable for meeting departmental financial goals and acting as the company liaison to our valued customers. It is expected that this individual, on occasion, will be able to perform some physical work related activities to 'get the job done'.
Responsibilities:Manage, direct, and control up to six field installation workers in a variety of working conditions and heights. Accountable for costs associated with materials and labor. Act as liaison and problem solver with customers. Coordinate project schedules and timetables. Manage, source, and validate third party installation firms, which might include union labor. Manage fleet of company owned installation trucks and equipment. Manage the procurement and determination of departmental equipment and supplies.Â
Qualifications:5 to 10 years of installation expereince in a key leadership role. Ability to provide strong front line leadership to field installers. Ability to work closely with customers to answer questions and anticipate problems. Ability to manage project materials and labor costs within time table and budget; competency in understanding project financial reports.  Strong oral and written communication skills; the ability to provide timely feedback to internal parties to facilitate continuous improvement. Project management, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills a plus. Required travel between 5% and 10%. Familiarity with Quality Control procedures is preferred. Hoisting license and CDL a plus. Associates degree or certificate in Construction Management/Project Management a plus.
