DIRECT HIRE - Electrical Project Engineer

Integrity Staffing Group is looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to work with the manufacturing of glass and plastic glass products in the construction industry.

 

The Electrical Project Engineer will be a key member of the engineering team and a critical partner to plants. The candidate will have a broad mix of experience and skills in the areas of electrical engineering, equipment installation and start-up, troubleshooting, project management, and manufacturing operations.



Responsibilities:Leading start-up activities at plant locations and coordinating activities between corporate engineering, external vendors, and operational teams Provide Electrical Engineering support to plant operationsWork with teams to plan, implement and prepare manufacturing locations for new equipment and processesWork on projects or lead projects for new plant construction.Improve yields, lowering costs, and increasing manufacturing uptime by supporting existing facilitiesCreating contracts for equipment acquisition and construction.  Write electrical specifications and make electrical single line diagrams and layout drawings to select electrical contractorsRead and work with construction drawingsProvide plant support through preventive maintenance for electrical distribution systemsWork to support and troubleshoot issues with control systems including PLC programming, and interface systems to PLC’s such as MMI, SCADA and other.

 Requirements:Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.5+ years of experience within a manufacturing settingExperience working with basic power distribution for 600volt class systems (motor control centers, distribution panels that feed auxiliary support equipment and lighting, and AC substation transformation). Experience with higher voltages (15KV and above) is helpful but not requiredUnderstanding of emergency power generation systemsExperience in the applications and uses of variable speed drives and associated operator interface devicesUnderstanding of the National Electric Code and experience in obtaining electrical permits and assisting with electrical inspectionsPractical experience with industrial field control devices, pressure transmitters, thermocouple options, motorized valves, proximity sensors, etc.Experience with complex projects; ability to analyze problems quickly; development of corrective actionsAbility to work effectively and communicate across multiple levelsAble to travel 40% both domestic and international
