Corporate Procurement and Contract Management Director

Evergreen Energy is a rapidly growing company that offers combined energy, environmental and economic solutions to coal-fired power generating facilities and industrial coal users in the United States. Candidates must be self-starters, highly motivated and have outstanding organizational skills.

Job ResponsibilitiesManage the buying of components, services and commodities for production and construction. Prepare purchase orders or bid requests, review bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority. Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with users, vendors, and others to determine the source of trouble and take corrective action. Review all key commodity contracts, including related service costs, on an annual basis. Conduct briefings and participate in technical meetings related to specific operations. Ensures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls. Manages key vendor contracts to ensure contractual compliance and quality assurance.

Job RequirementsBA or BS Degree required. 10+ years procurement management experience in a construction or operations environment. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to foster long-term relationships. Excellent communication, leadership, and management skills. Ability to draft, review and negotiate effective vendor contracts.

Working ConditionsCorporate office setting. Travel as needed.
