We are currently seeking a Controls Technician to support our Greensboro office.

 

Summary

Provides programming, technical checkout, owner training, and subcontractor coordination on BAS jobs.  Responsible for executing contracts within estimated hours.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following.  Other functions may be assigned.Co-ordination with customers and subcontractors for the timely execution of assigned projects.Device/system installation when required.Configuration, setup and calibration of end devices and factory or field installed hardware.Creation and programming of Site databases.Checkout and troubleshooting of communication links or local area networks.Development and troubleshooting of system programming code.Development and testing of site graphics.Creation of job turnover package to service using supplied tools.  To include commissioning sheets, backup databases and any owner training documentation.



Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in HVAC, Computer Science or Computer Science related field and three years field experience; equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 95,98 & NT. Must be familiar with Trane and various other HVAC products. Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft products, Timberline, P3 and NITRO.
