Controller/Accounting Manager

Rapidly Expanding Real Estate Company seeks experienced Controller/Accounting Manager for its Finance Department.

Responsibilities:Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting and payroll. Supervise and participate in the preparation of various financial statements and reports.  Manage monthly, quarterly and yearly financial close of multiple entities and prepare reporting package for owners/management. Manage preparation of bank reconciliations and weekly cash reports. Reconcile construction loans monthly. Review construction draw requests for accuracy and adherence to budget. Directs the installation of general and subsidiary ledgers of accounts receivables, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property and operating expenses, and insurance records. Directs and participates in cost analyses and rate studies. Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems. Prepare biweekly budget/actual job cost variance reports. Directs the installation and maintenance of new accounting, time keeping, payroll, inventory, property and other related procedures and controls. Files all payroll tax returns. Manage tax correspondence Assist external accountants with preparation of year end tax returns, schedules and form K1's Manage accounts payable function Assist with all functions of risk management, including, but not limited to workers compensation, general liability, 1099 reporting and placement of such policies. Assist with the human resources function and employee benefits. Assist in the development of the corporate budget process and provide updated forecasting throughout the year.

MUST HAVE: Bachelors Degree in Accounting (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Four to ten years experience and/or training in financial accounting specific to real estate industry. Excellent project management skills Innate ability to prioritize Timberline and Quickbooks experience  Expert level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision making ability and attention to detail. Ability to multi-task; self motivated with solid time management skills Supervisory experience
