Construction Site Superintendent

Directly supervise and coordinate activites of construction trades workers and their helpers on the job site.  Does not engage in the same construction trades work as the workers they supervise.  Inspects and oversees construction work to insure that procedures and materials comply with plans, specifications, building codes, and other regulations.  Observes work in progress to ensure that procedures followed and materials used conform to specifications.  Ensures quality of finished installations for conformity to applicable standards and approves installation.  Interprets blueprints and specifications for Contractor and discusses deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulation governing construction.  Records quanitites of materials received or used during specified periods.  Maintains daily log of construction activites and prepares progress reports.  Computes weekly estimates of work completed.
