To accommodate this demand we are currently searching for customer focused team-oriented individuals to join us and contribute to the growth of Chevron Energy Solutions while developing their career with a major international energy company. Chevron Energy Solutions is currently searching for Construction Project Managers in the California Bay Area and the Los Angeles-San Diego areas. The Construction Project Manager will assume the responsibility of providing construction management services on projects to ensure that Energy Conservation Measures (ECM’s) are properly installed and implemented. Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:•The Construction Project Manager will have complete accountability for specific construction projects from the Pre-Construction Phase (approximately 10% of the time) to the Construction Phase (approximately 75% of the time) through to the Project Close Out Phase. (approximately 15% of the time)•Specific tasks will include managing multiple contractors and their time schedules, and maintaining continual communications with customer and contractors. •Such services shall also include working with Chevron Energy Solutions engineers, energy analysts, and commissioning technicians. •The Construction Project Manager will supervise, train, and manage other Chevron Energy Solution's Construction Managers, either working on the same project or working on separate projects. •The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for commissioning all work and for completing all training obligations. •In addition, he/she will be responsible for following and enforcing all applicable safety precautions and programs, and shall thoroughly read, understand, and follow Chevron Energy Solutions’ Standard Operating Procedures manual for construction management. •A Construction Project Manager shall be capable of managing a team of construction managers and/or construction manage projects of any size.Required Qualifications:•High School Diploma or equivalent is required•Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree in Construction Management and/or Construction Administration is preferred•15 years of relevant construction management experience is preferred•Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with superb time management and project scheduling skills. •A complete and thorough knowledge of the operation and installation of lighting, HVAC, and controls systems is essential. •A sound knowledge of applicable codes and OSHA safety criteria is also required. •Must have proven track record of successfully managing the construction of large, complex projects of over $10M each.•Travel is required for this position, and typically is 80% to 100% of the time, depending on job location. Regardless, the CPM must be available at any hour of the day to personally address job site emergencies.
