Construction Project Civil or Electrical Engineer

NOTE:  There are 3 open positions available here:Professionally licensed Electrical Engineer (Project Manager) - LA or VenturaProject Engineer (Civil, Electrical, or Construction Management degree) - LA or VenturaProject Engineer (Civil, Electrical, or Construction Management degree) - San JoseRESULTS EXPECTED:    •Providing PM’s with thorough and comprehensive excellence on all projects     •Develop Solutions to issues the project is facing     •Project Documentation is up to date, the PM receives the end product     •All bids that are submitted are fully covered POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:    •Tracking RFIs     •Complete responsibility for the Submittal process and receipt of schedule     •Maintain Boiler plate submittals – safety plan, fire safety plan, superintendent designation letter, OSHA certificates, Subcontractor certificates, QC plan, etc     •Assist with Contract Buy-outs     •Work with receptionist to prepare contract folders and maintain all logs (RFI, Cost Proposal/ Change Orders, Submittal Logs)     •Track Job information sheet for each project including start and completion dates     •Assist in Packaging bids, Quantity Take-offs, Material Quotes for bids     •Follow-up with Subcontractor coverage and attend job walks     •Setting up Job Trailers     •Create a site specific tool and equipment list         oOrder job start-up equipment (office trailer, storage containers, toilets, dumpsters, phone lines, temporary power, etc.)     •Send and Deliver plans, specifications, amendments, addendums to all sub-contractors and In House Electrical     •Send out request for quotes as per PM direction     •Maintain Subcontractor Database (Pre-Qualify Subs) and vendor database     •Set up Vendor Accounts     •Responsible for meeting minutes     •Scoping meeting minutes with Sub- Contractors     •Weekly Owner Meetings

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelors/Masters Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS (Project Engineer)None required, but if the candidate has some Project Engineer Experience, that will be assessed and weighted accordingly.     oPresentation Skills needed for advancement     oAbility to take Construction type notes and Documentation

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS (Electrical Engineer)

10+ years as a licensed PE in the commercial construction industryNECESSARY OFFICE REQUIREMENTS The candidate will have the ability to move through the Microsoft Office programs such as, but not limited to: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiar with all of the attributes of MS Outlook.
