 Description:The Construction Manager will juggle multiple projects at a time from inception to completion of the construction phase responsible for, but not limited to:

  Managing multiple construction project teams simultaneously to ensure completed product/service is delivered on-time, within budget, and with quality and integrity



Managing collaboration with owners, engineers, architects, estimators, subcontractors, and governmental agencies who are involved in the construction process







Tracking and reporting percent of completion/ timelines to customers and managers



Ensuring projects remain cost effective and close within or under budget



Selecting,scheduling, directing and supervision subcontractors on each job 



Supervision and training of superintendents Attending job site meetings and keeping everyone informed of project status



 

Responsibilities: Plan, organize and staff key field positions through interaction with corporate executives Prepare project schedules, purchase orders, subcontract agreements and computer data sheets as required Initiate and maintain relationship with customer, architect and/or engineer to facilitate construction activities Monitor and control day to day construction activities through communication with on-site Superintendents to ensure project is built on schedule, in accordance with design criteria and within budget. Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures Develop project budget and communicate changes to client and corporate executives in a timely manner Represent company in project and strategy meetings and assist in labor negotiations Assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate executives

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education – College Degree in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline is preferred. 

 

Experience – Project Manager / Construction Manager with 10+ years experience managing commercial construction projects for a GC is preferred.  Demonstrated history of excellent customer service.

Requirements – This position will require the employee to visit construction jobsites.  The individual must be able to physically navigate a jobsite that is pre-construction and/or under construction. Ability to read and understand complex architectural plans Strong written and verbal communication skills Proven leadership ability with high professional and ethical standards Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Superior organizational skills Thorough knowledge of construction industry best practices PC skills
