Position: Cost Estimator  

MOCA Systems is a nationally recognized program and construction management firm that greatly improves project performance.


MOCA provides a breakthrough approach to project controls (cost and schedule management) that helps owners more consistently achieve better within-budget and on-time project performance. MOCA professionals use existing cost and scheduling applications such as Primavera(TM) and Timberline Cost Estimating, augmented with our proprietary MOCABuild(TM) software platform, to meet project requirements throughout the programming, design and construction phases.

 

With MOCA experiencing steady growth, we are actively seeking Cost Estimators to be critical team members of our proven cost estimating and project management teams. Interested candidates should have a thorough understanding of construction means and methods, and be able to successfully develop estimates diverse location and structures.  The successful candidate(s) will augment a project team in the development and execution of plans, schedules, and budgets using standard cost and scheduling applications. Direct experience in military construction with USACE, AFCEE, or NAVFAC is desired.  

Qualifications you will have if you are a great candidate;

Required

· Four-year college degree (B.S.) in Engineering, Construction Management or related field

· 5+ years of experience in construction cost estimating

· Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel

A Plus

· Experience with USACE, AFCEE, or NAVFAC construction programs

· CCE, CCC or CVS certification

· Experience with Timberline, MCACES, PACES, RSMeans,  and Success Estimator

· Project scheduling experience

· Review all documents and site conditions to become familiar with the project

· Develop accurate and clear cost estimates based on project data and local market conditions

· Develop conceptual cost estimates and budgets

· Maintain a computerized construction cost database for use by estimating and construction managers along with other team members

· Act as a QA / QC delegate for other projects you are not necessarily directly involved with

· Communicate with clients, engineers, and all team members

· Supervise and guide a team of junior cost personnel and project engineers
