The responsibilities of a Commissioning Engineer/Specialist I - System Turnover Manager include, but are not limited to:- Promotes efficient and cost effective site activities by providing ongoing assessment of personnel and current commissioning practices.- Maintains technical knowledge by keeping current on applicable processes, practices, and best methods.- Ensures proper operation of all systems and equipment.- Ensures effective application of all strategic commissioning tools, techniques and programs i.e.; Commissioning Manual, Field Reference Guidelines, Manufacturers' recommendations, CompleteIT, standard industry practices, etc.- Enhances skills, performance and development of all employees by sponsoring and promoting training programs to ensure adherence to specifications and promotes work of the highest quality.- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following and ensuring adherence to established project Safety Procedures, Work Permit Procedures, Work Order Procedures, Federal, State and Local regulations, and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) Procedures.- Reviews project schedules and develops work plans to support project milestones.- Reports discipline progress against scheduled activities.- Coordinate craft and equipment support for commissioning activities.- Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsThe preferred candidate should have:- 8+ years of related experience- Bachelor's degree preferred- Ability to communicate and interact with management and employees at all levels- Proficient in MS Office suite of software programs, Knowledge OnLine (KOL) and Lotus Notes- Excellent written and verbal communication skillsFluor values the contributions of a diverse and inclusive workforce and is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
