Building Automation Service Sales Engineer

BCM Controls designs, installs and services integrated building automation systems in the greater Boston area.  BCM leads the building systems marketplace with flexible systems based on understanding how a building will best serve its owners.  Utilizing highly skilled teams, BCM consistently delivers optimal customer based integrated systems that control all aspects of building operations such as HVAC, Lighting, Access Control, Security and CCTV. We are currently seeking a Building Automation Service Sales Engineer to represent BCM Controls at various customer sites. The main responsibilities of this position are to maintain positive customer relations, identify opportunities for system upgrades and services agreements.
 

Responsibilities

·Sells HVAC Service including Preventative Maintenance Agreements, Full Service Agreements as well as T and M work

· Sells HVAC retrofit equipment.

· Develops, implements and executes sales plan to achieve sales goals:

o  Log daily activity

o  Track sales and quoting activity

· Calculates PM and Full Service contract values

· Develops new customers 

· Maintains relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction by resolving concerns/answering questions and identifying potential opportunities.

· Prepares presentations and interacts with customers to describe sales opportunities, describes the rationale for the customer fit, as well as an economic analysis.

· Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.

· Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

 

 

Job Requirements

· Strong customer orientation including the ability to manage expectations and satisfy customers

· 2-4 years experience and a solid understanding of commercial BAS/HVAC experience (Tour Andover Controls, Johnson Controls and Honeywell experience a plus)

· Successful track record selling maintenance contracts.

· 3-5 years in sales and business development

· Energy Savings strategy knowledge a definite plus

· Works well independently and as part of a team

· Strong verbal communication skills including ability to keeping others informed

· Winning attitude and the desire to go above and beyond

· Comfort and success with making cold calls
