Boiler Tube Welder Job description: Construct, assemble, and repair stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries Align structures or plate sections to assemble boiler frame tanks or vats and follow blue prints for Coal Fired Boilers Work involves use of hand and power tools, plumb bobs, levels, wedges, dogs, or turnbuckles Inspect and repair boiler fittings, tubes, automatic control mechanisms, water columns, and auxiliary machines Fabricates components by analyzing requirements Weld steam tubes inside boilers. Develops welding projects by analyzing work orders, prints, and completed assembly; Which may also require calculating requirements, studying metals, and determining appropriate welding techniques Fabricate components by using equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces Set-up and measure assemblies while also selecting appropriate method Verify welding results by inspecting and testing welds Document actions by completing records Maintains safe work environment by following procedures and complying with legal regulationsSkills/Qualifications: Tube Welding and Fabrication Supply Management Documentation Skills Basic Safety Equipment Maintenance Power Tools Lifting Analyzing Information Dependability IndependenceWe support a drug-free workplace through pre-employment chemical screening and Fluor is an Equal Opportunity Employer that recognizes the value of a diverse workforce.
