ABOUT THE COMPANY:  Trinity Door Systems Inc. has been family owned and operated since it opened in 1986.  We provide our customers with the best quality installation and service of automated entrances including swing, slide, bi-fold and revolving doors. We provide customers with solutions to bring any type of doors into compliance with federal ADA requirements and ANSI safety standards.  We offer additional services that include glass and glazing work along with storefront installations.

Our service protocol provides most customers with same-day service and next-day service guaranteed. For emergency service, our technicians are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

 

Our service area includes Northern, Eastern, and parts of central Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, and the panhandles of West Virginia and Maryland.

 

We have recently moved into a larger renovated facility to accomodate our growing customer base & offer expanded services. 

 

ABOUT THE POSITION:  The field service technician installs and services automatic pedestrian doors, the type found at the main entrance to grocery stores, retail facilities, and hospitals. This is a position in which the tech works alone and drives a company vehicle; therefore, a clean DMV record is required. A company vehicle and cellular phone are assigned after training is complete. 

 

Technician service schedules vary, so the work day hours vary greatly from day to day.  We strive to give our customers the best quality and fastest service so our technicians work until the call load for the day is complete, and this occasionally means working into the evening while stores are still open. 

 

Also, technicians are our primary salesmen.  We find they are better able to sell our product because they have a well rounded knowledge of the industry and technical applications.

 

Health benefits, bonuses, paid vacation, and sales commissions are included with this position.  We offer industry high pay scale and salary is commensurate with experience. Company service vehicle assigned after training period.  Position will begin with a 30 day training trial, followed by an evaluation to determine suitability for permanent position.  All employees hired for a permanent position after the trial period will be required to sign a confidentiality and non-compete agreement.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

- No experience necessary in the automatic door field – we will train the right candidate.

- General mechanical and electrical knowledge required

- Previous hands-on maintenance a plus

- Basic skills with hand and power tools

- Analyzing and troubleshooting skills to diagnose malfunctioning parts and replace worn out gearboxes, motors, controls, rollers and bearings, tracks and guides.

- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 100lbs.  Work on ladders 8+ ft high, sitting to drive for extended periods of time up to six consecutive hours, standing and/or kneeling, crouching, on concrete for extended lengths of time, and ability to work outdoors in various climate conditions including extreme heat, high humidity, snow, and wet conditions etc.

- Trinity Door Systems Inc is a drug and alcohol free workplace.  Pre-employment drug screening is required and random screening throughout employment. Drug Policy is required for all employees.  Immediate termination upon failure to pass a screening.

- Follow established company directed policies pertaining to service reporting, maintaining truck inventory, customer communications, and other detailed company procedures.

- Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

- Ability to build rapport with customers, handles complaints, and provides solutions to meet customer satisfaction.

- Communication skills and ability to work independently as well as with co-workers to complete time-sensitive projects. 

- Technicians will be required to supply there own hand and power tools.  Specialty equipment will be supplied by the company when required for a specific job.
