Accounts Receivable Associate

Allentown, PALehigh Hanson has an immediate opening for a qualified ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ASSOCIATE for its regional office located in Allentown, PA. Lehigh Hanson is one of the world's largest suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates (crushed rock, sand and gravel), ready-mixed and precast concrete, asphalt, cement and cement-related materials and a range of building products including concrete pipes, concrete pavers, tiles and clay bricks. We are part of the Heidelberg Cement Group, which employs 70,000 people across five continents and has leading positions in concrete and heavy building products and is the global leader in aggregates. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS1. Process daily incoming customer payments 2. Investigate customer payment discrepancies and resolve or assist in the resolution process 3. Maintain customer account balances 4. General various interim and month-end accounts receivable reports 5. Respond to customer inquiries concerning billing and accounts receivable issues 6. Assist with other customer-related maintenance activities and correspondence 7. Scan supporting paper documents into SAP system 8. Perform other duties as requested relating to overall external customer relationships 9. Work with Credit Managers to maintain positive relations with external customers 10. Two or more years of business related work experience, accounts receivable experience a plus 2. Ability to establish positive and effective working relationships with internal and external customers 3. Detail-oriented work approach with accuracy and efficiency 4. General accounting knowledge 5. Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word 6. Experience with SAP software a definite plus 7.
