We have an immediate opening for a full-time Accounting/AR/AP Specialist to join out accounting team.  We are a Lumber and Manufacturing company, located in Colton, CA.  We offer a competitive salary, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401K.  Job is Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. 

Job Purpose:

Provide assistance to our Accounting Department by assisting with general accounting and accounts receivable/accounts payable functions.  The successful candidate must have an Accounting and Accounts Receivable background, with knowledge of Prelims and Lien Releases and general accounting skills.

Duties:

* General accounting functions, such as Invoicing, creating and maintaining various accounting reports and daily spreadsheets

* Maintaining job files for each job, updating information and ensuring accuracy

* Assist with Accounts receivable functions such as Prelims, maintaining customer files, and various AR functions

* Assist with Accounts payable functions as needed, matching receiving paperwork with invoicing and performing data entry into A/P system

* Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

* Other tasks and duties as assigned: may include answering phones, filing, etc.

 Skills/Qualifications:

Construction industry experience a plus, Knowledge of Prelims and Lien releases, Basic Accounting Knowledge, Office Experience - General, Scheduling, Telephone Skills, Typing, Documentation Skills, Meeting Planning, Verbal Communication, Written Communication, Dependability, Attention to Detail, Administrative Writing Skills, Organized.
