Account Manager - Service & Repair

Are you a highly motivated and goal oriented sales professional, who has a mechanical aptitude?

TheHayward, CA location of ThyssenKrupp Elevator is currently seeking an individual who can aggressively identify and secure service contracts & repair work on a full line of elevator & escalator equipment manufactured by TKE & its competitors.  The Account Manager is responsible for exceeding or meeting monthly sales quotas by maintaining and growing the Service & Repair customer base; utilizing sales techniques to up-sell to current customers & cold call on prospective customers; preparing proposals to bid on new jobs; delivering presentations; negotiating prices & other terms; completing paperwork & reports; and developing & maintaining strong relationships with new & existing customers.  The sales territory is the greater Bay area. 

Job Requirements:


A high school diploma or GED is required.  A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but equivalent sales experience will be considered.  A minimum of two-three (2-3) years of elevator sales experience is preferred.  A strong sales background outside of the elevator industry may be considered if it includes a successful track record of business to business sales, including cold calling.  Must be highly motivated, aggressive and have a positive attitude.  Excellent communication, negotiation, organization and time management skills are necessary.  Good MS Office skills.  The ability to read blueprints and understand general mechanical & electrical applications is necessary.
