As a Curriculum Developer for the Force.com Platform, you will play a key role in designing and developing classroom and online courses for our employees, partners, and developer community. The Force.com Platform is a full service application development environment that includes the Visualforce user interface language, Apex server side programming language, and the Force.com Web Services API. Responsibilities: Objectives: Work with Curriculum Architects to design, develop, and maintain technical training courses to support the Developer role for our Employees, Customers and Partners. Collaborate with subject-matter experts and the product management team to build appropriate course and lab material to support the Force.com Platform, providing code samples and functional, executable results. Interface with cross-functional work teams to develop course specifications and gather course content. Become a subject matter expert in the Force.com Platform, with in-depth knowledge of the schema, API calls, and debugging techniques. Create supporting training documentation, including presentations, user guides, quick reference materials, lab manuals and various templates Lead technical courses including beta versions of Force.com Platform courses and train-the-trainer sessions.Required Skills/Experience: Experience: Bachelor’s degree required; B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience preferred. Deep knowledge of 1-2 object-oriented programming languages (Java and/or .NET). Knowledge of Web Services, XML, HTML, JavaScript, and ASP.NET/JSP preferred. 2 years of curriculum development experience with at least 1 year of hands-on experience focused on building content for software developers. Record of credibility in working with product development organizations, as well as internal technical support, consulting and other customer facing resources. Experience with structured writing techniques and modular content development processes preferred. Success in a dynamic, fast-changing environment. Proven ability to meet project timelines with quality results. Track record of innovation in developing training solutions. Ability to prioritize and balance multiple, on-going projects. Required Skills: Solid understanding of Internet technologies, application development methodologies, and On-Demand business models. Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies. Excellent writing and curriculum development skills. Analysis of complex training challenges to present sound, competent educational solutions. Proven ability to design and develop successful instructor led courses. Excellent collaborative skills to drive consensus and leverage disparate viewpoints for optimal solutions. Blended learning design and development. (Combining multiple modes of content delivery to most effectively produce successful business results for trainees.)
