The Public Relations Coordinator or Manager will develop and execute a range of PR programs that drive awareness for the company and its products. While this position will support the entire team across applications, corporate and platform, it will have ownership of the AppExchange directory and partner PR. This position will accelerate and evolve the existing PR program to broaden visibility of the company’s partner, developer and community initiatives. This individual will help the company more effectively and consistently target and promote customer, partner, and developer success.The position requires a commitment to innovation, excellent understanding of the technology industry and demonstrable success in managing and executing PR programs. Clear, concise and consistent communication skills are a must. This position also requires an amazing ability to multitask and own/drive numerous projects at a time. The Public Relations Coordinator or Manager must be familiar and comfortable with current market trends, such as Platform-as-a-Service, Cloud Computing, mash-ups, blogging, and podcasting. Responsibilities: Execute on team support flawlessly – projects ranging from press kit development to coverage analysis, and management of materials to ownership over the awards program. Maximize media exposure for salesforce.com’s AppExchange through targeted, measurable PR programs Press release writing, editing and approvals Manage and scale partner PR calendar and press release pipeline Accelerate salesforce.com participation in partner, developer and industry events and speaking opportunities Facilitating media and blogger outreach and interviews with salesforce.com executives Cultivate and grow customer, developer and partner references across the spectrum of industry topics Communicate and enforce PR policies around partner engagement mapped to corporate programsRequired Skills/Experience: BA/BS in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing preferred 4+ years of experience in Public Relations and technology, either at an agency or corporate in-house (some agency time preferred) CRM, enterprise software and/or Web 2.0 experience highly desirable Excellent communication, writing, editing, and project management skills Proven ability to work under tight deadlines with limited resources Ability to multi-task and quickly prioritize projects and communicate priorities to stakeholders Flexible work style and ability to respond to evolving needs Top media contacts, with proven results High level of energy, enthusiastic team player and dedication to excellence.
