immixGroup is seeking a few entry level / junior-level Account Manager I candidates to join our internal team of more than 40 federally focused sales professionals. Your responsibilities will include executing on our Government Reseller or Channels program, identifying new sales opportunities and fulfilling existing opportunities. In this role you will engage with our clients, government buyers and public sector end users. In this junior role, the Account Manager I is responsible for reseller and channel operations activities including agreement tracking and report updating, quoting, order processing, pipeline management, client and partner issue resolution, cold calling, telemarketing and other proactive sales activities as required. The Account Manager I will work closely with the account team (Senior Account Manager and Account Manager II) to ensure our technology clients’ business needs are met through government-facing initiatives. The successful candidate will add value by identifying, pursuing and executing on additional opportunities.
Position Requirements:
Ø 0 – 2 years inside or outside sales experience selling technology products or services
Ø BA/BS Degree strongly preferred
Ø Must be a self starter, attention to detail, and possess strong organizational skills
Ø Ability to develop and manage relationships with clients’ sales and operational organizations
Ø Proficiency in making outbound calls and no fear of using the phone.
Ø Ability to learn complex enterprise software and hardware technology and terminology; and to use this information to support and deliver sales campaigns & lead generation initiatives.
Ø Understanding of sales process from lead generation through close.
Ø Knowledge of government procurement process is a definite plus
Ø Providing quotes from our customers as requested and accurately managing sales pipeline desired.
Ø Ability to work within a team concept/environment and contribute individually as needed.
Ø Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office; Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications experience desirable.
