As an implementer of advanced technologies for OS X, you will have the opportunity to have a major impact on Apple's embedded operating system products. Our environment fosters product innovation, rapid product iteration, and a liberating amount of autonomy.Responsibilities* Help design and implement future technologies designed to ease software validation and installation of OS X in the factory* Work cooperatively with other parts of CoreOS to diagnose and debug factory production issues* Come up with new and innovative ways of increasing manufacturability of our software while preserving ease-of-use and increasing the quality of the end-user experience.* Evangelize and drive the adoption of these technologies and policies across the organization* Up to 30% travelRequired Experience:* A genuine passion for diagnosing hardware, software, and process issues.* Demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities and troubleshooting skills* Industry exposure to and knowledge of OS tools and UNIX internals* A strong software development background* Highly professional, with the ability to deliver solid work on tight schedules* BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience/skillsUseful Experience:* Mac OS X exposure (end user, administrator, developer)* Previous experience with administering heterogeneous networks of UNIX, Linux and Windows machines* Involvement in open source technologies and development communities such as Darwin, FreeBSD and Linux Perk #56: New ways to stretch your mind.
