As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to have a significant impact on the design and implementation of new functionality of Apple's mobile operating system products.The ideal candidate should posses excellent C programming skills and a basic understanding of communication technologies. Relevent experiences include but are not limited to the following: TCP/IP, BSD Kernel, Sockets, USB, drivers.The position will require the right candidate to determine the appropriate compromise between several contradictory factors such as performance, efficiency, ease of use and security. The position also has a strong cross functional aspect that will require you to interact and influence a large variety of people from several organizations within and outside the company.The candidate needs to be able to work in a fast paced environment, operate gracefully under stress, and be self driven to be effective in an environment with little overhead. The cross functional aspect of the position will require excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Required Experience:- Kernel level programming- A true passion for communication technologies;- Strong software development skills;- Outstanding troubleshooting skills;- Previous experience in operating systems;- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience and 4+ yrs of working experience- BSD/Linux driverPreferred Experience:- Mac OS X;- An understanding of the TCP/IP suite of protocols;- Involvement in open source development communities such as Darwin, BSD or Linux- Performance optimization- Debugging and troubleshooting communication problems Perk #56: New ways to stretch your mind.
