As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to have a significant impact on the design and implementation of new functionalities of Apple's mobile and phone products.The position will require the right candidate to determine the appropriate compromise between several contradictory factors such as performance, power, efficiency, ease of use and security. The candidate needs to be able to work in a fast paced environment, operate gracefully under stress, and be self driven to be effective in an environment with little overhead. The cross functional aspect of the position will require excellent interpersonal and communication skills.The ideal candidate should possess excellent understanding and working knowledge of 802.11 implementations on embedded (preferably mobile) platforms. Relevant experiences include but are not limited to the following:Required Experience:Driver/firmware development on embedded platforms.Implementation of 802.11 a/b/g/n & related specifications.802.11i/802.1x Security protocolsC/C++/Assembly programmingA true passion for networking technologies, especially mobile networking;An excellent understanding of the TCP/IP suite of protocols;Strong software development, integration, testing & troubleshooting skillsWilling to learn and be self-motivatedRequires MSEE/CS combined with 5-7 years of related experience, or BSEE/CS combined with 7-10+ yrs related experience Preferred Experience:- Development on Mobile devices.- Good understanding of wireless RF technologies & co-existence issues of 802.11 PHYs with other Wireless interfaces like Bluetooth.- Usage of Logic analyzer, signal analyzer, understanding of PHY layer- Mac OS X, IOKit, BSD Kernel Stack.- Experience with SDIO bus or other low power buses.- Hardware bring-up, integration of SW and H/W- Involvement in open source development communities such as Darwin, BSD or Linux Perk #56: New ways to stretch your mind.
