Web UI developer - User Interface Programmer

Candidate will participate in development, testing, and support of web-enabled applications utilizing Java (Struts, JSP), JavaScript and Ajax.  In particular, as a Web UI Developer, you will perform development and maintenance tasks for rich browser-based UI controls and components. You will work closely with in-house and contract graphic designers to build highly interactive, data-driven, skinnable UI components, using the full spectrum of browser-based technologies. Your work will demonstrate an uncompromising commitment to design excellence.Responsibilities: Build web UI components to provided specifications and conduct detailed walk-thrus to ensure compliance and completenes. Produce user flows, stylesheets, HTML, and implement back end code as required along with a team of backend developers. Contribute to design and feasibility discussions. Develop software based on these designs in a Java/J2EE environment. Build richly interactive web applications using techniques such as AJAX, JavaScript, CSM. Build and test individual code before checking into SubVersion.Skills Required MUST have experience developing JSPs, JSTL (Struts Tag Libraries), AJAX, JavaScript, CSS and dynamic Javascript for presentation layer Familiar with latest Web UI standards Experience in product development release cycle for Business to Consumer sites Knowledge of usability methodologies and best practices Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform UI implementation and the associated compatibility issues Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills Possess the ability to be a self driven quick learner with attention to details and quality Desired: Subversion or CVS experience Experience with SPRING and Site Mesh and or web front-end development (AJAX) would be a distinct advantage Experience with Open Social Apps Experience with Iphone websites Experience in an agile-development environment and knowledge of scrum methodologies is a PLUSWe offer great working environment and highly competitive salary and benefits package.
