Web Software - Business Development – Outside Sales Account Manager

Our client has a HOT software product that is taking off like a sky-rocket across the internet! If hired, you would be reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, setting appointments, making sales call visits, and selling this excellent software product direct to businesses from the established leads provided.  The internet is hot and products like this are very hard to beat.  This product has already won awards and is raved about in trade journals.  They have the top developer talent to create this great product, now they just need the top sales talent!

We need a hunter to enthusiastically work incoming leads, find new sales opportunities and follow-through to closure on those leads.   The Account Manager will also have to be strong with follow-up and appointment setting. Customer facing interaction skills are critical since you will be conducting presentations to describe and depict the awesome features inside this internet software.

You will be talking with and meeting with developers and stakeholders, who need to create best-of-breed, internet software.  Often these developers know they want to buy it before you contact them.  You will be closing Developers, Architects, Lead Developers, Chief Information Officers, and other stakeholders or small business owners on purchasing software licenses.  It basically sells it self - once they get it - and try it out - they are hooked -- actually addicted to how well it works.  And they buy it, just like that!  To close the larger orders consisting of many licenses you will need to your excellent presentation skills and professionalism as you show medium to large corporations why they can’t go on with out this software!

This is an Outside Sales Account Manager role.  You will be calling on potential customers within your assigned territory.  You will have a full range of support from the home office (located in Dallas, TX) to help you grow and develop your territory.  You will be working from your home office covering the Bay Area Territory.

We are seeking very energetic types, with a strong work ethic, who will be motivated by the huge value to the internet software development industry that this company and their product provide.  A sales hunter mentality is a must, as is excellent and polished communication, professionalism and technical software presentation skills!   Drive, ambition, and someone who understands computers and the internet enough to communicate effectively in this space will be the best candidates for this tremendous opportunity!

Requirements:We need SALES HUNTERS!The ability to communicate effectively to highly technical customers (developers, CTOs, CIOs) as well as business people such as Controllers, CFOs and CEOs.3-5 years of outside Technical Sales of software, preferable internet or database related softwareCollege degree preferred

The compensation package for the Outside Sales Account Manager includes:

• $80,000 base salary
• Commission + bonuses = $40,000

• Total compensation at plan (on target earnings) is $120,000 / year. 
($150,000 to 200,000 / year or more is definitely possible.  There is no ceiling on commission)
• An awesome benefits package that has health, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus paid time off, paid holidays and 401(k) matching
