Summary:

Kintera Inc. is currently seeking a part-time Independent Contractor to assist in the maintenance of our advocacy module.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with a solid knowledge of HTML and at least a basic grasp of XML.  An interest in politics is helpful, though not required

 

Responsibilities:

· Identify failing webforms – There are some internal reporting mechanisms that you can leverage to create reports on what forms are failing.

· Crack failing webforms – This is the core job function. You will be writing XML files that tell our advocacy module how to fill out and submit webforms on elected officials’ websites.

· Test federal email addresses – We will create a dummy email account for you and import all federal representative email addresses as contacts. Once a week you should send a test message to all contacts and then check for bounce messages.

· Provide status reports on failing webforms – We will need to determine a process for reporting on our delivery rates.  

· Update contact information in the Legislative Directory Input Tool (LDIT) as necessary – There may be instances where you are asked to update contact information. This could happen either in the course of updating delivery methods, or requests for updates could be passed to you from support.

· Respond to supporter redistricting requests as time permits – Time permitting, you might be asked to review supporter reported districting issues.

· Build relationships with Hill staff – There may be times when it is necessary or desirable to contact staffers in congressional offices in order to proactively determine the best way for these officials to receive our messages.
