Web Development Manager

We are seeking a Manager to lead our Web Development team. The team of 6 web developers performs design, development & support of ASP.NET web applications; presented both internally & externally. This position is responsible for all phases of the systems development lifecycle as web development projects are brought from concept to market. Candidates should be up-to-date on web development best practices, including information security. A strong technical aptitude, project management, and business systems analysis skills will be necessary to complement the Web Development team & support the business.

 

Requirements: BA or BS, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science or MIS3+ years of Web Development management experienceBroad knowledge of web development concepts, architecture & information securityClear understanding of the principles of object oriented programming, portals & web servicesAbility to manage & lead a highly technical staffAbility to translate business & IT languageAct as the primary Web Development interface to the user communityInteract & work collaboratively with all levels of management Ability to align senior management with web development plans and manage expectationsManage multiple assignments and align them with the business priorities & deadlinesParticipate in triage, planning, requirements gathering, design, & documentation activitiesParticipate in quality control, testing & release managementParticipate in the development & execution of the IT strategic roadmapDefine & maintain Web Development procedures & documentationExperience with ASP.NET is requiredExperience with server hardening a plusMicrosoft certification is a plus; e.g. MCP or MCSD
