MMY Consulting, Inc. is searching for an experienced Web Developer.



RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop applications in accordance to business requirements, specifications, industry best practices, and development policies and standards.Ability to analyze business functional requirements and translate them into technical design specifications.Work with technical lead to develop design of technical solutions for business strategies.Use design documents and architectural blueprints to develop code for IT solutions.Create, implement, and document testing plans as required based on design documentation.Work in resolving defects as reported by the QA testing group.Perform root cause analysis as part of the support process and the continuous improvement process. Assist the QA testing group with migration of code to the testing environment by creating instructions for Operations.Follow SDLC methodology in all development activities.Demonstrates proven communication, analytical, and problem solving skills to help support the development process.Must be team oriented while working autonomously and reporting priorities and progress.Performs assignments using established practices, procedures, and processes.Contributes to the morale of the team and is self-motivated.Desire to rapidly learn and implement new technologies.





SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:



 BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical degree program and 3+ years experience required.Experience with networked, enterprise distributed application environments.Experience with technical documentation (technical requirements, design, UML).3+ years experience) in .NET Framework (C#/VB.NET), ASP.NET, ASP.NET XML Web Services (ASMX).Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 -- Database design and optimization, Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer, Stored Procedures, Indexing and relationships, T-SQL Enhancements (emphasis on FOR XML Clause), SQLXML 3.0, and DTS package development.Solid understanding of  ASP.NET User and Server Controls (know the difference), ASP.NET HTTP pipeline and the life cycle of ASP.NET controls, XML, Serialization, .NET Remoting, ADO.NET.Understanding of Object Oriented design (classes, constructors, interfaces, properties, methods, and events). Hands on experience using both Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.Experience with source code version control (Subversion, and/or multiple branches, and coordination of multiple branches preferred)Experience incorporating 3rd party libraries and frameworks.Working knowledge of the following XML technologies -- XML Information Set, XSLT, XPath, XML DOM, XML Schema, Namespaces.Experience with the following Web Services technologies -- Simple Object Access protocol (SOAP), Web Service Description Language (WSDL).Familiarity with Microsoft Windows 2003 Server - IIS 6.0, IIS Infrastructure, NLB, HTTP infrastructure, Security, Configuration.Exposure to Classic ASP, COM, VB6, VB.NET, and BizTalk experience is a plus.Detail oriented with strong communication, interpersonal and documentation skills.Mainframe COBOL and Insurance industry experience is a plus.
